This is a song I wrote a couple of years ago. The widowmaker is usually a shaky tree where a slab can fall off and take out the faller while cutting it down or a hung-up tree that the faller didn't notice. These have killed quite a few fallers. It can also refer to anything that has the potential to take your life when you're not paying attention.
